Running over cyclists with truck = bad thing

Found a news story with a great example of stating the obvious – or rather, quoting the obvious. In the story, the technical manager of a major insurer is quoted as saying:

“Apart from the moral obligation to more vulnerable road users, killing or injuring cyclists can seriously damage truck companies’ reputations.”

So if you mow down cyclists with a truck, people will think less of you. That's good to know.

Think of your reputation!

Damn you, "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas"! You've led me to believe that mowing cyclists down could indirectly boost my street cred. NOW I understand why people don't chest-bump me when I tell them I'm facing charges of vehicular manslaughter. Why didn't I spend less time running over people and more time stealing Louis Vuitton handbags? Why? Why!

Ah, the designers seem not to have included cyclists in GTA4 – a serious omission, if you ask me. Shep, if you're reading this, I hold you individually responsible...

Yes, but you'll get points!
